2005 Post 28 American Legion was destroyed by fire. Although the insurance will
cover a portion of rebuilding our Legion, it will be necessary to sell
some of our land to cover the remaining portion.
We
have architectural plans and site permits at the county; we are exploring
financing options; and we are seeking a buyer for the 4-acre lot to cover
the total costs of completing the Post Home.
The drawings above show the proposed
new post home. Donations are being solicited to fund the improvements
not covered by the insurance. Tax deductible donations to our building fund
should be made out to post 28 American Legion and mailed to
Post 28

Until our post home is rebuilt Post 28 will meet on the 2nd thursday of every
month @ 7:30 in the college Park Legion post hall
Post 28 members enjoy ; darts, shuffle
board, horseshoes, pool, occasional dances, dinners, picnics, socializing with
others in our lounge or just some new friends to tell old war stories to.
